16-17 May 2006
Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London

PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT HAS NOW CLOSED. IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND THIS EVENT PLEASE BRING A BUSINESS CARD TO THE QUEEN ELIZABETH CONFERENCE CENTRE FROM 08.00 ON TUESDAY 16 MAY.

ATTENDANCE IS FREE FOR INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS, PENSION FUNDS, HEDGE FUNDS, CENTRAL BANKS AND COMPANY TREASURERS. IF YOUR COMPANY COMPETES WITH OUR SPONSORS WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ALLOW YOU INTO THE CONFERENCE.

In 2005 the London FOREX Forum was dominated by China, the impact of Hedge Funds on Real Money Flows and fears based on the soaring price of oil and its potential effect on the global economy. More institutional investors, corporations, pension funds and hedge funds than ever attended the conference to refine their strategy, learn about the latest risk management techniques and to take stock of the prevailing mood of the market.

What’s new for 2006? Euromoney’s guests will be able to choose from 12 workshops covering topics such as:

  • How can investors best monitor market risk and exposure?
  • Where to make money in emerging markets?
  • How to make the best use of FX options?
  • Trading via e-platforms: overcoming the challenges
  • Commodities and currencies: diversifying risk across markets
  • Algorithmic trading
  • Liquidity in FX markets – are ECNs the future?

Macro issues will include:

Central Banks – how far will the Fed go? Japan – rates on the rise? The Bank of Japan’s balancing act.  China – will The Peoples Bank of China diversify away from the dollar and continue the moves started in 2005 towards a free-float currency?

If Asia starts selling the dollar – where is the floor and what impact would this have on the world’s markets?

Euromoney Conferences will draw on the invaluable insights gained from our portfolio of FX conferences in: New York, Tokyo and Shanghai to bring the attendees of the London event a global perspective on the ebb and flow of the forex markets in 2006.
